Este conjunto de acuarelas es el resultado de una traducción a escala 1:1 de un mapa de Palestina de 1880, anterior a la primera inmigración sionista, que comenzó en 1882. Las veintiséis láminas que forman el mapa han sido trabajadas con pigmentos cuyos diferentes tonos refieren la existencia de poblados y asentamientos palestinos anteriores a 1882 a la vez que los asentamientos palestinos y judíos actuales. El resultado es una trama abstracta, una suerte de infografía azarosa que bien podría traducir los impredecibles desplazamientos, mezclas y frenos que determinan a las migraciones.

This set of watercolor paintings is the result of a 1:1 scale translation of a map of Palestine from 1880, prior to the first wave of Zionist migration that began in 1882. The twenty-six sheets that form the map have been colored with pigments whose different tones refer to the existence of Palestinian towns and settlements before 1882, as well as to current Jewish and Palestinian settlements. The result is an abstract pattern, a random infographic of sorts that may well convey the unpredictable movements, combinations, and obstacles that determine migrations.
